Welcome to the Homepage of the Chair for Applied Computer Science VIII.
Our research focuses on human-centered AI and data analysis in the life sciences. We develop computational methods that help researchers quantify, interpret, and validate complex biological data, including microscopy and histology images, sequencing data, molecular assays, and multimodal experimental readouts.
Our work combines biomedical data analysis, machine learning, AI-based image analysis, statistical modeling, reproducible workflows, and interactive tools for scientific discovery. Current application areas include metabolic liver disease, stem-cell models, and cellular aging.
